As for the Lizardmen, I can see why they are rare as in by 3rd edition you could only field them with Slann, and not with longbows (more's the pity ! )

Might finish off the Dwarves this afternoon, they make a great centre to a dwarf army

40 RR3 Grom's is pretty good, but e-bay batches can be annoying. I've ended up with duplicates of all manner of things. I think it is because when the regiments of Renown were issued, it contained a character model and troopers. Most commonly bought were probably the box with the leader in, and so they are the sets that have survived to make it onto e-bay.That's also why some of the command miniatures are difficult to get.Goblin Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14931436821182962785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4266200265116124990.post-55623952474041631072013-05-06T11:45:43.979+01:002013-05-06T11:45:43.979+01:00Thank you,

I remember that you hated them, and I usedto use them for my Dark Elves.
The Jes Goodwin Cavalry are great .

I might be about, but it's the Brighton Festival so might be out and about. I'll let you know :)

Goblin Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14931436821182962785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4266200265116124990.post-60818008459427552152013-05-05T22:18:36.259+01:002013-05-05T22:18:36.259+01:00Super collection of regiments of renown! I'm not sure what happened to mine. I remember hating the paint job I gave them. The figures weren't very good in comparison to Jes's elf cavalry.

Are you around next weekend? I'm thinking of visiting brighton again? They did do a couple of variantions of the 2nd version troopers in the same pose but different heads. I have added half a dozen.

Until I started re-visiting my older stuff I never really bothered with the backgrounds, but now I appreciate them more. I like the idea of the campiagn narrative and following a regiment as the core of an army and story, and like what you have done with Gurggl's Slann.
