I agree Orlyygg, it's just up to me to tackle it head on. I have been looking through many of the old 1980's White Dwarfs to see how they painted banners and shields, and I feel more confident to give it a go than it did. There are a lot of designs that are simple once they are broken down, it's just learning how to copy them, and also create variations from them. :) Goblin Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14931436821182962785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4266200265116124990.post-15139490059947244542017-08-11T09:38:38.739+01:002017-08-11T09:38:38.739+01:00Trust me, Dave Stone is quite correct. But hard work (and loads of John Blanche Ogre faces) really does pay dividends.

Go for it!Orlygghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01590080915486192175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4266200265116124990.post-38798649698888391292017-08-09T18:58:25.621+01:002017-08-09T18:58:25.621+01:00Thank you.

Shields and banners have always been daunting for me and I always opted for easy designs, but now I want to finally tackle more complex stuff.

It's nice to get back to painting the Fantasy Tribe miniatures. They have a charm all of their own. I like that I have seperated them out into a seperate collection. Giving them the framework of the Goblin Wars erasets them in a 'historical period' of the Warhammer World which links nicely with the olderstyle of miniatures.

The cottage is a quirky little thing which has that old world fantasy charm. It loks nice in the background for the photographs.
