The 3rd Edition Warhammer Fantasy Battle Slann Army project: Part five: Mixtecas's Warriors of the Stars.

A short update of some more Slann.

These are a regiment of Slann comprised of the the 'Mixtecas' miniature from the 1987 C32 Slann release in White Dwarf #96, the same issue as the 'Slann 'O War' article. They represent a Slann Jungle Braves regiment, Slann Levy.

I painted them with a space/galaxy theme to suggest some astronomical connection to the Old Slann civilisation. I used the same painting technique as people used to paint galaxy themed shoes/boots a few years ago. It was fun and I think it looks quite unusual and very much some Slann weirdness. I painted the Slann skin slightly differently as well, base coating the skin with a turquoise, then highlighting it with a mix of white and turquoise, before a final highlight of a light green.

Enjoy :)

Next blog update may be more Slann. although I have been painting other random things and I am ploughing through the basing of the Chaos Dwarfs.
