I have painted three small unit of Slann Scouts with blowpipes.
I like Slann Scouts as they are useful for hiding in cover (especially water), and/or slipping around on flanks and getting in an enemies way. Also, their Toughness 4 (like all Slann) make them more difficult to kill than Elves or Humans. One of the things about them is their access to poisoned attacks, delivering a potentially high strength blow dart wound to even some quite tough monsters. Of course, Bow Skill 2 means that they don't always deliver that on target!
All of the miniatures are from the 1980's C32 Slann range. They are a mix of the 'Akablyk' miniature, and the unlisted Slann with a blow pipe from the same era.
Enjoy :)
Green Slann.
Blue Slann.
Black and red Slann, based loosely on poison Dart Frog colours.
As well painting Slann I have been collecting and basing my 1980's Citadel LOTR ME range armies in line with the Midgard rules basing. Above are two of the armies. The rearward one is King Thranduil's army from the Battle of the Five Armies scenario. The army to the fore is an equivalent 400 point army from Lothlorien.
Both armies are largely made up of miniatures from the ME ranges, with a few extra miniatures from Citadel's other ranges from the time. This is true with most of the other armies, but I shall do a full blog update on them a little later.

The next update will probably be a change from the Slann with some of the LOTR things I have been painting. The Chaos Dwarfs should be ready by the end of November.
